Keeping a new car serviced according to its manufacturer’s recommended schedule is an important part of protecting its reliability, safety and warranty.

At Duca Automotive, we can carry out qualified log book servicing on a wide range of makes and models, including Holden, Ford, Mazda, Toyota, Nissan, BMW, Audi, Hyundai, Honda, Kia and many more.

A log book service follows the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule for the age, kilometres and model of your car. The required inspections and maintenance can vary considerably between vehicles and service intervals.

This may include checking components such as belts, brakes, suspension and fluid levels, along with other scheduled maintenance specified by the manufacturer. Following the correct service schedule helps identify developing problems before they become more expensive repairs.

You don't need to have a physical log book to have a log book service. The important part is that the manufacturer's servicing requirements are followed and the vehicle's service history is recorded. A physical log book can also be supplied to help keep your records organised, which can be useful when selling your vehicle. Want to know more about log book servicing - click here

Many new car owners believe they must use the dealership for every service to protect their warranty. Under Australian law, however, you can choose where your vehicle is serviced, provided the required work is carried out correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.

The ACCC has provided guidance confirming that independent repairers can service new vehicles without automatically affecting the manufacturer's warranty. If you're unsure about your servicing requirements, ask the team at Duca Automotive or speak with your vehicle manufacturer. See our video to learn more.

New Car Warranties … the Facts.

Delaying scheduled maintenance can allow relatively minor issues to develop into more significant problems. Regular servicing provides an opportunity to check the condition of key components and complete maintenance at the intervals recommended for your vehicle.

Keeping accurate service records can also demonstrate that your vehicle has been properly maintained, which may be beneficial when it comes time to sell.
